Traction Battery Drop Tester simulates the battery from a height of 1m ~ 1.5m, falling to the concrete floor (or 30mm thick hardwood), each battery to any direction (face, corner, edge) free fall 3 times, the battery should not catch fire, not explode.

Drop testing steps

  1. Charge the single storage cell according to 6.1.3
  2. Drop the positive-negative terminals of the cell from the height of 1.5m to the concrete floor;
  3. Observe for 1h


Battery Module Safety Test

  1. Charge the battery module according to the standard 6.1.4
  2. Drop the positive-negative terminals of the battery from the height of 1.2m to the concrete floor
  3. Observe for 1h
